Since March 2015 I work with the Colombian choreographer Lina Gómez. In a collaborative creation process we developed a series of sketches and pieces on the temporality of bodies: their ephemerality, their persistence, their constant transformation.
A Passo Di Mulo (2018)
“Today I wander with a fixed but flexible gaze, with my knees light, and my feet continuously submerged in the dust, in the mud, in the water, in the stone. Tirelessly I go on, carrying my earth in my stomach, carrying someone’s weight on my back. I cross landscapes of flesh, I vibrate with the cries of the deaf dust and I lose myself in the attempt to continue, to reinvent myself. I let the yellow dust mark my veins, I bear the vertical burden of my head and let the force of someone else’s breath renew me. I move and plunge, plunge and move, always forward, as Doña Esperanza used to say.”

STAUB [Poeira Surda] (2016)
24/ 25 June 2016, Studio 14 Uferstudios Berlin
We are surrounded by invisible and inexplicable powers – by material that is constantly moving even though it appears static. Poeira Surda is ambivalence; it is an attempt to belong to the remnants in a space. It is the willingness to thwart others. It is a renunciation of the self and a rebirth in the moment of desistance and perseverance.
STAUB is physical traces, immanence of memories, wishes. STAUB hovers; it constantly changes; reshapes, re-groups and re-invents itself anew and morphs; it feigns pauses, demands, disappears and stops.

Lina Gómez encourages the performers to generate individual movement material based on associative notions, that she weaves into a choreography that is like the weather: forces that agglomerate, evaporate, erupt here and there, ally or break apart, calm down and vanish.
